  • Do I need tickets?
    There are no tickets for this event and entry is free!

    Standard charges in the car park apply. A ‘park and ride’ will also be running from a field beside the Golf Course – more info.

  • What time will the convoy arrive?
    The military vehicles will arrive at the beach at around 12.30pm. The convoy will parade along the beach from around 3pm onward. All timings are approximate.
  • What time is the Spitfire flypast?
    We’re expecting the flypast to take place at around 13.45*.

    Please keep all dogs on leads and children within eyesight during this event.

  • Are there any disabled parking bays?
    Yes; there are a number of disabled bays at Saunton Beach car park.
  • What’s the best time to arrive?
    Early; there will be loads to see!

    Saturday 2nd June
    9.00 – Livng history displays open to the public
    12.30 – Convoy arrives at the beach
    13.45 –  Spitfire flyover
    15.00 – Convoy of wartime vehicles parades along the beach
    19.00 – Military Wives Choir

    Sunday 3rd June
    11.00 – Beach obstacle demolition demonstration
    15.00 –  Beach assault

    Please try to park in the park & ride (open from 9am) before attempting to park in the Beach car park. Please avoid Saunton car park between 9 and 9.30 as it will be being used by military vehicles. For more info on parking and buses, click here.

  • Where will the Park & Ride operate from?
    The Park & Ride will operate from a field near the Golf Course. This will be clearly signposted on the day.

    Charge: £7 for the day. The bus will be free.

    Times: The Park & Ride will run from 9am – 10pm on the Saturday, and from 9am – 6pm on the Sunday.
